Remote Senior Software Engineer

• You will assist the Principal Engineer in defining and implementing scalable, maintainable software architecture.
• You will write clean, efficient, and well-tested code and review others’ code.
• You will provide technical mentorship and guidance to other engineers.
• You will tackle complex challenges—whether technical or process-oriented—and help deliver smart, pragmatic solutions.
• You will investigate and resolve production issues with urgency and care.
• You will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and DevOps to ship features that deliver real impact.
• You will champion best practices in testing, documentation, and secure coding.
• You will keep an eye on the bigger picture, suggesting improvements to tools, processes, or systems where needed.

Requirements:

• You must have 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• You should have strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot.
• You need experience designing and maintaining REST APIs and backend systems.
• You should have hands-on work experience with Hibernate and PostgreSQL (or similar relational databases).
• You need cloud experience, ideally with AWS and associated tools.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and test automation is required.
• You should have solid front-end experience, preferably with AngularJS.
• A strong understanding of secure coding principles and application-level security is necessary.
• You must have experience working in an Agile team with a collaborative mindset.
• Excellent communication skills are required to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nices-to-Have:

• A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience in the compliance, training, or workforce management space is a plus.
• Familiarity with performance tuning and monitoring production systems is desirable.
• AWS certifications or similar industry credentials are a bonus.
