Remote Senior Software Engineer

Description:

• The Senior Software Engineer at Actionstep will be responsible for leading and coordinating software development efforts to enhance Actionstep products and platforms.
• They will develop high-quality software by producing, testing, and debugging code throughout the software development life cycle.
• Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, supporting their upskilling and growth.
• Driving projects forward, managing timelines, and ensuring successful delivery.
• Building and maintaining strong working relationships with internal and external parties through effective communication.
• Actively seeking professional development opportunities and staying updated on industry best practices.
• Contributing to continuous improvement processes and procedures within the Relevant Team department.
• Taking responsibility for safety and wellbeing, following all procedures and participating in safety initiatives.

Requirements:

• A relevant tertiary qualification, code academy qualification, or equivalent professional experience.
• Demonstrated expertise and significant professional experience.
• Experience working in a scrum environment.
• Knowledge of PHP, JavaScript, or other relevant languages.
• Familiarity with Symfony, REACT, or other relevant frameworks and libraries.
• Understanding of databases like Postgres and SDLC, including VCS such as Git, CI/CD workflows, and testing.
• Experience with SaaS software and AWS environment is desirable.
• Ability to work in team and individual capacities, manage multiple streams of work effectively, and practice best time management techniques.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, passion for teamwork, collaboration, coaching, and growing people.
