The Software Engineer will support projects from conception to completion, including planning, creation, maintenance, and upgrades.
You will contribute to core features of the Vetcove platform, ensuring intuitive and innovative products for users.
The engineering team values a holistic view of the technology stack and encourages collaboration across various areas.
Recent projects include a real-time analytics platform, a dynamic advertising platform, a mobile shopping experience, and a new modern architecture.
Responsibilities include conceptualizing new ideas, building interactive React applications, adding test coverage, creating reusable components, implementing features in React Native, and collaborating with the CTO and engineering team.

Requirements:

A minimum of 2 years of professional software engineering experience, preferably in web applications.
High proficiency in at least one industry-common programming language and a willingness to learn others.
Experience in building a successful production application using a modern web framework.
Ability to design features around data models with a focus on accuracy, security, and performance.
Experience with databases and optimizing queries.
Fluency in JavaScript as a prototyped and functional language.
Good software testing habits are essential.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
Ability to adapt quickly and manage multiple responsibilities concurrently.
A strong desire to help customers succeed and a positive team-oriented attitude.
Experience with a backend language, ORM, and writing API endpoints is necessary.
Startup experience is a plus.

The typical base pay range for this role is $115,000/year - $200,000/year, with a specific range for Colorado of $135,000 - $175,000, plus bonuses and equity.
