Description:

• Venafi is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the team responsible for integrating Venafi with customers' cloud-native environments.
• The role involves contributing to enhancing machine identity management in Kubernetes environments.
• Responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining robust backend services for Venafi's cloud platform using Golang.
• The position requires architecting and implementing scalable, distributed systems and microservices.
• The Senior Software Engineer will develop and optimize GraphQL APIs for high performance and reliability.
• Collaboration with various teams across the company to build integrations is essential.
• Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues related to the Venafi platform is part of the role.
• Mentoring peers and contributing to the continuous improvement of development processes and tools are key responsibilities.
• Participation in the on-call process is required to ensure system availability for users.

Requirements:

• Strong background in building modern distributed systems is essential.
• Proficiency in Golang, PostgreSQL, GraphQL, and React is required.
• Experience with cloud-native technology is a must.
• Focus on backend development with an understanding of frontend workings is necessary.
• Knowledge of x509 and PKI is desirable due to the core product focus on protecting machine identities.
