Turquoise Health is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their remote engineering team.
The company aims to simplify healthcare pricing and improve transparency and cost for everyone.
The role involves developing Django-based websites using Python and Postgresql, working with large data sets, and writing effective, scalable code.
Responsibilities include testing and debugging programs, improving existing systems, implementing security solutions, and coordinating with team members to understand user requirements.
The ideal candidate will have experience with Python and familiarity with front-end technologies, as well as a desire to learn new technologies.
The position offers a wide-ranging role in a start-up environment, allowing for the development of new features and machine learning models.

Requirements:

Candidates must have work experience in Python or strong experience in another programming language with some exposure to Python.
Expertise in at least one popular Python web framework, preferably Django, or a similar framework in another language is required.
A good understanding of SQL and efficient database usage is necessary.
Familiarity with front-end technologies such as JavaScript and HTML5 is expected.
Candidates should possess good problem-solving and communication skills, a team spirit, and the ability to work effectively in a remote environment.
A BSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant field, or equivalent experience/knowledge is required.
Bonus points for experience with open-source projects, git and GitHub, emerging AI development patterns, and data manipulation tools like Pandas, Numpy, or Dask.

The position offers competitive pay with equity options and a salary range of $170,000-$185,000.
