Immersive Labs is seeking a bright and enthusiastic Senior Software Engineer to join their Engineering team in Bristol, UK.
The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for developing a groundbreaking product within a friendly multi-disciplinary agile team.
Responsibilities include architecting and delivering changes to the product, designing and maintaining a reliable codebase, working on all parts of the system landscape, fixing bugs, and participating in an on-call scheme.
The role also involves translating technical concepts for non-technical individuals, coaching and mentoring other engineers, and formulating technical solutions in collaboration with the team.
The main parts of the system landscape include a Ruby on Rails back end, a React/Typescript front end, a Node.js/Typescript back end, and some Python services.
Success in this role will depend on the candidate's approach, skills, and potential for growth, even if some aspects are new to them.

Requirements:

Extensive experience in building complex web applications or similar software.
Willingness and ability to work with different programming languages and technology stacks, prioritizing delivering real features over tech stack sophistication.
Solid understanding of relevant web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and HTTP.
Experience working with relational databases, Docker, Kubernetes, and potentially Terraform.
Ability to collaborate with others using tools like Git, Github, and JIRA.
