Remote Senior Software Engineer

Description:

• The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for the ongoing development and maintenance of Centivo's commercial SaaS software product(s).
• This role involves collaborating with the product team, software engineers, and test automation engineers to design and deliver high-value, maintainable web and mobile solutions.
• The engineer will focus on front-end development, ensuring user interfaces are responsive, accessible, and cross-browser compatible.
• Responsibilities include optimizing front-end code for performance and scalability and collaborating with UI/UX designers for a seamless user experience.
• In back-end development, the engineer will design, develop, and maintain server-side logic and implement databases using SQL technologies.
• The role includes developing APIs for communication between front-end and back-end systems while ensuring security, authentication, and authorization measures are in place.
• Database management responsibilities involve designing and optimizing database schemas, writing queries, and ensuring data integrity and security.
• The engineer will use version control systems to manage codebase changes, participate in code reviews, and work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a technology-related field is required.
• A minimum of 5 years of engineering experience is required.
• Candidates must have experience in server-side application development.
• Experience in developing AWS cloud-based SaaS applications and platforms is necessary; experience with Azure or GCP is a plus.
• Proficiency in React Native or similar mobile development tools is required.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential, with the ability to present information effectively.
• Proven organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-up are required.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team is necessary.
• Candidates must be able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks effectively.
• Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to work without well-established policies and practices is important.
• Strong skills in Node.js are required.
