Remote Senior Software Engineer

Description:

• Venafi is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join their distributed team responsible for the Venafi Control Plane, focusing on integrating Venafi with customers' cloud-native environments.
• The role involves designing features to enhance machine identity posture in Kubernetes environments.
• Responsibilities include developing robust backend services using Golang, architecting scalable distributed systems, and optimizing GraphQL APIs for high performance.
• The position requires collaborating with cross-functional teams, troubleshooting technical issues, mentoring peers, and contributing to process improvement.
• Participation in the on-call rotation is necessary to ensure system availability.

Requirements:

• Strong background in building modern distributed systems.
• Proficiency in Golang, PostgreSQL, GraphQL, and React.
• Experience with cloud-native technology.
• Ability to focus on backend development while understanding frontend workings.
• Desirable knowledge of x509 and PKI for machine identity protection.
