TrustArc is a leader in data privacy, automating and simplifying privacy management programs for global organizations.
The Senior Software Engineer position focuses on projects that address online privacy challenges for customers.
Responsibilities include designing and implementing performance and scalable products to help customers discover their privacy data and assess relevant risks.
The role requires improving the reliability and efficiency of core technologies and designing next-generation platforms and web applications.
The engineer will mentor other engineers and solve complex issues with elegant designs to deliver products on time while maintaining high quality standards.
Key tasks include designing, implementing, testing, and documenting software, writing unit tests, conducting code reviews, troubleshooting software faults, and understanding customer requirements.
The engineer will design and implement RESTful Enterprise platforms using Java and Scala, and relational schemas in SQL databases.
Debugging application/system errors and designing testing infrastructures using Junit or equivalent frameworks are also part of the role.

Requirements:

A degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT, or a related field is required.
Candidates should have 5-8 years of relevant work experience.
A strong understanding of architectures, design patterns, and frameworks is necessary.
Experience in designing and implementing code using Java Middleware (e.g., Hibernate, Spring) is required.
Good knowledge and experience with JavaScript frameworks such as AngularJS, JQuery, and Angular is essential.
Familiarity with software engineering best practices, including Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban), CI/CD, code refactoring, and security best practices is expected.
Candidates should be able to document technical designs, participate in PR/code reviews, and track code quality metrics.
Technical leadership experience in building, deploying, and supporting reliable, performant, and scalable product platforms is required.
