Description:

Hiive is a fintech/marketplace startup connecting buyers and sellers of stock in venture-backed pre-IPO companies.
The Senior Full Stack Engineer will be responsible for contributing to the frontend and backend apps, learning Elixir on the job, collaborating with technical leaders, and delivering new features to the application.
The ideal candidate should be proficient in React/Typescript, have a strong desire to learn Elixir, be proactive, self-motivated, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
Required experience includes expertise in React/Typescript, building backend API services using Ruby on Rails, writing automated backend tests, and translating design mockups into frontend implementation.
Preferable experience includes understanding data modeling, working with GraphQL APIs, collaborating with product managers, and exposure to Elixir or other functional languages.

Requirements:

Highly capable of hands-on development in both frontend and backend, with the ability to ship React/Typescript code.
Know how to build customer-facing products across the entire stack.
Strong desire to learn Elixir and pick up new programming languages.
Proactive, self-motivated, and comfortable learning in a fast-paced environment.
Comfortable working with a small team, including founders, and adapting to a quickly moving environment.
