Remote Senior Software Engineer - Ads Bidding & Pacing at Reddit

Description:

As a Senior Software Engineer in the Ads Bidding and Pacing team at Reddit, you will collaborate with technical leaders to enhance optimization systems and improve existing systems' robustness.
Your responsibilities include identifying and addressing infrastructural and operational gaps in automated bidding products and pacing systems.
You will design and implement systems capable of processing data at a large scale, work with product and engineering teams to align improvements with the business vision, and conduct A/B experiments to evaluate new algorithms' impact.
Writing maintainable code, contributing data-driven insights, and actively participating in planning for the future are key aspects of your role.

Relevant experience in ads and marketplace systems, with a focus on optimizing an ads marketplace.
Preferably hold an MS or PhD degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 4 years of industry experience building real-time data processing systems using frameworks like Flink, Spark Streaming, Kinesis, and Kafka.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Scala, Go, and Java, and familiarity with distributed systems, big data, and data-intensive systems.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
Demonstrated ownership mentality, independence, and a desire to contribute to roadmap development.
