Description:

  • As a Senior Software Engineer in the Ads Bidding and Pacing team at Reddit, you will collaborate with technical leaders to enhance optimization systems and improve existing systems' robustness.
  • Your responsibilities include identifying and addressing infrastructural and operational gaps in automated bidding products and pacing systems.
  • You will design and implement systems capable of processing data at a large scale, work with product and engineering teams to align improvements with the business vision, and conduct A/B experiments to evaluate new algorithms' impact.
  • Writing maintainable code, contributing data-driven insights, and actively participating in planning for the future are key aspects of your role.

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience in ads and marketplace systems, with a focus on optimizing an ads marketplace.
  • Preferably hold an MS or PhD degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 4 years of industry experience building real-time data processing systems using frameworks like Flink, Spark Streaming, Kinesis, and Kafka.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Scala, Go, and Java, and familiarity with distributed systems, big data, and data-intensive systems.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ownership mentality, independence, and a desire to contribute to roadmap development.
