Remote Senior Software Engineer - Ads Bidding & Pacing at Reddit

Description:

As a Senior Software Engineer in the Ads Bidding and Pacing team at Reddit, you will collaborate with technical leaders to enhance optimization systems and improve existing systems.
Your responsibilities include identifying and addressing gaps in automated bidding products and pacing systems, building data processing systems at a large scale, and conducting A/B experiments to evaluate new algorithms' impact.
You will work closely with product and engineering teams to align improvements with the business vision, write maintainable code, and provide data-driven insights for projects.
You will have the opportunity to contribute to some of the most impactful monetization systems at Reddit.

Relevant experience in ads and marketplace systems, with a focus on optimizing an ads marketplace.
Preferably hold an MS or PhD degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 4 years of industry experience in building real-time data processing systems using frameworks like Flink, Spark Streaming, Kinesis, and Kafka.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Scala, Go, and Java, and familiarity with distributed systems, big data, and data-intensive systems.
Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with product managers, data scientists, and stakeholders, along with a strong ownership mentality and desire to contribute to roadmap development.
