Description:

As a senior AI platform engineer at Vanta, you will play a crucial role in shaping Vanta’s AI offerings, improving our AI systems, and setting technical strategy for our end-to-end ML/AI architecture.
You will form the core AI team around which many AI applications will be built and shipped.
You will work alongside a multidisciplinary group of product engineers, PMs, and security and compliance experts to implement, scale, and maintain ML pipelines to enable and accelerate AI innovations.
Your responsibilities will include building solid infrastructure foundations and high-leveraged developer tools that enable Vanta’s product engineers to quickly create and improve high-quality AI products.
You will work closely with users, primarily other engineers at Vanta, to understand their pain points in AI development and identify opportunities for improvements.
You will design, build, and improve AI infrastructure and tooling, such as offline and online evaluation and data pipelines for model training.
You will design, build, and improve unified AI services such as search.
You will make effective tradeoffs that consider business priorities, user experience, and a sustainable technical foundation.
You will set an example for effective, collaborative engineering culture, and help mentor junior team members.

Requirements:

You must have at least 5 years of industry experience as a software engineer.
You should have experience building ML systems from the ground up, shipping ML solutions to production, and owning the full ML development lifecycle.
You need to have experience with improving developer experience and resolving ML infrastructure challenges related to scale, reliability, and performance.
Experience working at rapidly scaling startups and large companies, especially in environments that prioritize a bias for action, is required.
Strong coding and software engineering skills are essential.
You should be a culture carrier and take initiatives to work closely with product engineers and meet them where they are.
