Remote Senior Software Engineer (Airflow OSS Team)

Description:

• Work as a Senior Software Engineer in Astronomer's Airflow OSS Team, focusing on implementing new Airflow features and components.
• Be part of a globally-distributed team working on making Apache Airflow the standard in data orchestration.
• Design, develop, and implement open-source software to enhance the experience of data practitioners using Airflow.
• Engage with developers and committers from the Apache Airflow project.
• Collaborate with team members to deliver high-quality results and liaise with customers to troubleshoot issues.
• Contribute to the Airflow Ecosystem and promote new features at conferences and events.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Python developer with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience.
• Proficiency in writing unit tests and automated testing.
• Ability to think creatively, troubleshoot complex issues, and build scalable distributed systems.
• Proactive approach to learning and staying updated with industry trends.
• Strong communication skills across various mediums like Github, Slack, Zoom, email, and pair programming sessions.
