The Analytics team develops products and features to help customers measure the effectiveness of their messaging strategies and understand their audience lifecycle.
As a Senior Software Engineer, the role involves taking ownership of significant projects and impacting the platform's performance and features directly.
Responsibilities include collaborating with Product Managers, Designers, and engineers to design and implement backend services, managing deployments in Kubernetes, participating in code reviews, leading projects, conducting data analysis, and staying updated with industry trends.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 6+ years of professional software development experience.
Experience in building backend microservices at scale is required.
Proficiency in a statically typed language, preferably Rust and/or Golang, or a strong willingness to learn these languages quickly is necessary.
Experience with ScyllaDB, Cassandra, or similar noSQL databases is required.
Familiarity with distributed system event streaming frameworks such as Apache Kafka is essential.
Candidates should have experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
Designing RESTful APIs and/or gRPC endpoints is a must.
A good understanding of clean software design principles is required.
Additional experience with Ruby/Rails, continuous build in an Agile environment, and PostgreSQL or other relational databases is a bonus.

The base salary for this full-time position in New York and California ranges from $160,000 to $180,000, with the exact salary determined by experience, skills, and qualifications.
