Crunchyroll, LLC is seeking a passionate Senior Software Engineer, Android to enhance their Android teams.
The role involves producing applications that deliver content to engage audiences, partners, and team members.
The Senior Software Engineer will ensure software products are of the highest quality and reliability.
Responsibilities include advocating for top-tier test methodologies and best practices, providing feedback on developer-authored tests, and offering strategic direction for automated test coverage with comprehensive end-to-end system-level tests.
The position reports to the Engineering Manager and is available for US-Remote applicants.
The Android development teams support millions of users across mobile applications, tablets, automotive, and living room devices, collaborating with various teams to deliver a unique customer experience.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 8+ years of experience in software development and testing.
Experience in developing complex, consumer-facing video streaming applications within the Android platform is required.
A high-level understanding of Android development technologies, frameworks, and languages is necessary.
Familiarity with modern Android development tools and practices is expected.
Proficiency in Kotlin/Java programming languages is essential.
Hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworks is required.
Experience with performance testing tools and API testing tools is necessary.
Candidates should be able to define and deliver technical roadmaps for larger projects, often involving cross-team dependencies.
The ability to push boundaries using industry best practices and customer feedback to implement strategies that drive Crunchyroll products is important.
Providing quality feedback on designs from other team members and shaping the Crunchyroll engineering culture through involvement in activities outside of the direct team is expected.
