We are seeking a highly experienced and proactive Android Software Engineer to join our team in Mexico, Argentina, or Colombia, offering a comfortable remote environment.
The role involves managing the full software development life cycle, including designing, coding, testing, and maintaining complex Android applications for a leading payments technology company.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile environment, contribute to technical designs, refine development standards, and ensure code quality through best practices and thorough reviews.
You will drive the development of innovative Android applications, working closely with engineering teams and business stakeholders to deliver robust, secure, and impactful solutions.
Key responsibilities include developing, maintaining, and enhancing Android apps based on business needs and technical designs, owning feature development from requirements to delivery, and mentoring developers.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 5+ years of Android development experience.
Expertise in native Android development with Java and Kotlin is required.
A strong understanding of MVVM and modern Android architecture patterns is necessary.
Hands-on experience with popular Android libraries and integrations is essential.
Knowledge of secure coding practices, including build obfuscation and encryption, is required.
Experience with encryption frameworks and utilities like HTTPS, TLS, SHA-256, and Cipher Block Chaining is necessary.
Excellent communication skills for documentation, planning, and collaboration are required.
Strong critical thinking and attention to detail are essential.
Candidates should demonstrate resourcefulness, self-motivation, and a team player mindset.
