Description:
The Senior Software Engineer will work with the Weedmaps Android team to write software at a high velocity.
They will support other engineers through code reviews and pair programming.
The role includes maintaining the build and release pipeline for the platform.
The engineer will be tasked with improving the application's architecture and overall quality.
Close collaboration with product owners and designers is required to break down initiatives and bring them to production.
The Senior Software Engineer will drive technical initiatives from start to finish, defining work for other engineers in the process.
Responsibilities include maintaining and strengthening Android Platform capabilities, contributing to platform architecture, and collaborating in agile ceremonies.
The engineer will learn from and collaborate with peers and seniors as an avid pair programmer.
They will define and write actionable user stories and decompose initiatives with product management.
Communication of progress towards releases with stakeholders and keeping well-organized documentation is essential.
The engineer must remain current on industry changes to keep the company at the forefront of technological trends.
Requirements:
A minimum of 4 years of experience with Kotlin is required.
Candidates must have at least 7 years of professional software development experience.
Experience with Android Test Automation Frameworks is necessary.
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience is required.
Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of development experience at startup or mid-sized companies.
Effective communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to give and receive constructive feedback are essential.
A high level of attention to detail and aesthetic sensibilities is required.
Candidates must take pride in raising the bar for engineering excellence across the organization.
Bonus points for experience with maintaining CI Pipelines (Bitrise) and experience with React Native.
