Remote Senior Software Engineer, Android (Tinder LLC (f/k/a Match Group LLC), Dallas, TX)

Description:

• Architect and develop new features and fix bugs for the Match Android apps.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to deploy exciting new features to the Match family of products.
• Work closely with the product and design team to create premium and modern interfaces for users.
• Stay updated on the latest improvements to the Android operating system and Android development to enhance user experience.
• Utilize strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and enhance team processes, practices, and tools.
• Mentor junior developers and share knowledge.
• Write unit, integration, and user interface tests.
• Understand and enhance legacy code.
• Position allows telecommuting from anywhere in the U.S.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or U.S. equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field, plus 5 years of professional experience in mobile application development.
• Alternatively, a Master's degree or U.S. equivalent in a related field, plus 3 years of professional experience in mobile application development.
• 3 years of professional experience in Android development using design patterns like MVP, MVVM, or Clean architecture principles.
• 2 years of professional experience with RESTful APIs, including Retrofit or Volley.
• 2 years of professional experience using Material design guidelines.
• 2 years of professional experience working with legacy code and implementing improvements.
• 2 years of professional experience using Dependency Injection with Dagger.
• 2 years of professional experience using testing tools like Mockito and Junit.
• 1 year of professional experience with JVM languages like Kotlin or Java for troubleshooting and support.
• 1 year of professional experience with asynchronous programming using Kotlin Coroutines.
