WeatherBug, a division of GroundTruth, provides hyperlocal weather forecasts to over 10 million monthly users through its app and website.
The Senior Software Engineer (API) position is available for remote work in India or in Gurgaon.
This role requires core work hours from 8:30 pm to 12:30 am IST, with remaining hours completed at individual discretion.
The engineer will be recognized as a subject matter expert, applying theory to practice with limited oversight.
Responsibilities include designing, architecting, and documenting the entire system, coding software solutions, and participating as a CODEOWNER in code reviews.
The role involves automating testing solutions, deploying across environments, providing operational support, and coordinating with business teams to resolve technical issues.

Requirements:

A 4-year degree in Computer Science or a related field with 6+ years of experience, or 9+ years of experience in Software Development is required.
Candidates must have 6+ years of experience in software development and 5+ years of experience with C#, .NET core, and .NET.
Experience with AWS (EC2, Lambda, S3, CloudWatch) for 5+ years and 3+ years with CFN, APIGateway, DDB, IAM, and SNS is necessary.
Proficiency in CICD tools (Source Control, Build, Deploy) for 5+ years and 3+ years with GitHub, Jenkins, and Spinnaker is required.
Candidates should have 5+ years of experience in DevOps deployments and the ability to troubleshoot high complexity issues.
Strong communication skills across all teams within the organization to provide solutions are essential.
