Remote Senior Software Engineer, Application Experience

Description:

• Algolia is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Application Experience team in New York, New York.
• The team focuses on enhancing integrations with Shopify and BigCommerce to improve Search and Discovery experiences.
• The role involves defining, building, and operating scalable architectures while collaborating across teams.
• Responsibilities include architecture, design, and development of external and internal experiences, particularly for the Shopify Application.
• The engineer will take ownership of projects, research, and deliver high-quality experiences.
• The position requires building integrations with external APIs and serving as a technical mentor to junior team members.
• The engineer will help define engineering best practices and work closely with the R&D team to provide necessary tools for product development.

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of Golang is required.
• Familiarity with languages such as Ruby, NodeJs, and Python is necessary.
• Experience with at least one framework, preferably React, is expected.
• A passion for delivering quality code and a keen eye for user experience (UX) is essential.
• Experience with eCommerce integrations or building public Shopify apps is preferred.
• Candidates should have experience in a high-growth environment, particularly in the $50-200M ARR range.
