Description:
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Authentication & Authorization team.
You will report to the Engineering Manager and apply your technical and domain expertise to design, implement, and maintain secure authentication and authorization systems.
You will drive design discussions, code reviews, and project-related team meetings.
Collaboration with other engineers is essential as you develop solutions for our software as a service (SaaS) products that help scientists save time and increase their experiment quality.
You will implement new features and bug fixes within our authentication and authorization services.
Working with your immediate team engineers, you will conduct technical investigations, solution designs, code implementation with automated tests, and code reviews.
You will lead or consult the authoring of engineering design proposals following our product roadmap at BenchSci.
Leveraging a deep understanding of the business context and the team’s goals, you will unlock independent technical decisions in the face of open-ended requirements.
You will proactively identify new opportunities from both internal and external sources and advocate for and implement improvements to the current state of projects.
Adhering to and improving our high standards of highly scalable and maintainable code is expected.
You will help set a high standard for exceptional engineers who are outcome-oriented and positively contribute to the team's culture.

Requirements:
A degree in Computer Science/Engineering or a related field within science is required.
You must have experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
Experience with authentication solutions and SSO is necessary.
A high comfort level working with a Python back-end and a React/Typescript front-end is required.
You should have 4+ years of experience working as a professional full-stack developer.
