Remote Senior Software Engineer (Back-end)

Description:

• Ground News is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Back-End) to contribute to their mission of providing a platform for open-minded news consumption.
• The role involves working on the back-end server code using Node JS (Typescript) with Express, MySQL database, and ElasticSearch for indexing.
• Responsibilities include taking ownership of customer-facing features, engaging in end-to-end project involvement, and collaborating with various departments.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience with TypeScript, including Async/Await syntax.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with NodeJs and Relational Databases (preferably MySQL).
• Strong desire to learn and grow as a developer, with the ability to write efficient and scalable code.
• Experience with ElasticSearch, Redis, or similar caching systems.
• Ability to think critically, make informed decisions, and collaborate effectively with non-technical stakeholders.
