Remote Senior Software Engineer - Backend

Description:

• The Senior Software Engineer - Backend will be responsible for developing new features across the stack at Sayari.
• The candidate will work on problems related to corporate transparency, anti-money laundering, sanctions evasions, and combating financial fraud.
• The application tier is primarily built in Typescript, running in Kubernetes, and backed by Postgres, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, and Memgraph.
• The data ingest tier runs on Spark, processing terabytes of data collected from hundreds of sources.
• The platform allows users to explore a large knowledge graph sourced from hundreds of millions of records from over 200 countries and 30 languages.
• The role involves contributing to open source work, including the WebGL-powered network visualization library Trellis.

Requirements:

• The candidate should have at least 7 years of experience in programming web-based applications and REST APIs.
• Proficiency in Typescript is required.
• Deep experience with modeling and querying data in databases like Postgres, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, Memgraph, Cypher-based graph databases, or others is necessary.
• Experience in writing unit tests and integration tests is a must.
• Familiarity with technologies like Message Queues, Docker and Kubernetes, RxJS, Spark, WebGL, and React is preferred.

Benefits:

• The position offers a target base salary of $165,000-$185,000 a year, along with a quarterly bonus and equity.
• Final offer amounts are determined by factors like location, local market variances, candidate experience, expertise, and internal peer equity.
