Description:

The Senior Software Engineer - Backend will be responsible for developing new features across the stack at Sayari.
The candidate will work on problems related to corporate transparency, anti-money laundering, sanctions evasions, and combating financial fraud.
The application tier is primarily built in Typescript, running in Kubernetes, and backed by Postgres, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, and Memgraph.
The data ingest tier runs on Spark, processing terabytes of data collected from hundreds of sources.
The platform allows users to explore a large knowledge graph sourced from hundreds of millions of records from over 200 countries and 30 languages.
The role involves contributing to open source work, including the WebGL-powered network visualization library Trellis.

Requirements:

The candidate should have at least 7 years of experience in programming web-based applications and REST APIs.
Proficiency in Typescript is required.
Deep experience with modeling and querying data in databases like Postgres, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, Memgraph, Cypher-based graph databases, or others is necessary.
Experience in writing unit tests and integration tests is a must.
Familiarity with technologies like Message Queues, Docker and Kubernetes, RxJS, Spark, WebGL, and React is preferred.

The position offers a target base salary of $165,000-$185,000 a year, along with a quarterly bonus and equity.
Final offer amounts are determined by factors like location, local market variances, candidate experience, expertise, and internal peer equity.
