Description:

Ocrolus is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with a strong technical background in building scalable distributed systems.
The role involves designing and implementing Microservices architecture using Java, Python, or Golang.
Responsibilities include building systems, services, and tools to support Ocrolus products and business operations.
The engineer will design and develop cloud-based software products that adhere to industry best practices.
The position requires building a large scalable extraction platform capable of processing millions of pages per day.
The engineer will create a fast data extraction platform that maintains high accuracy.
Collaboration with other teams on analytics, security, and DevOps is essential.
The role also includes supporting the testing process, troubleshooting issues, and resolving them.

Requirements:

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.
Candidates must have 3+ years of engineering experience.
Expertise in Java and/or Python is necessary, along with experience in building complex systems and applications.
Solid database skills, particularly with Postgres and MySQL, and experience in data modeling are required.
Familiarity with web frameworks like Spring and Flask, as well as their related ecosystems, is essential.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills are a must.
Candidates should be able to contribute best practices and architectural leadership to backend applications.
Experience in leading and owning projects from inception to completion is required.
Familiarity with agile methodologies and automated testing is necessary.
Knowledge of containerization, microservices architecture, continuous integration, Amazon Web Services, and deployment is preferred.
