Description:

  • Timescale is seeking a skilled software engineer to join their team focused on building and maintaining their API platform and integration tooling.
  • The role involves developing Golang services that enhance usersโ€™ TimescaleDB experience.
  • Responsibilities include ownership of features and services from inception through deployment and ongoing production support.
  • The engineer will design, develop, and maintain APIs and tooling to enable integrations from and to Timescale.
  • This is a full-time, remote position, preferably located in Europe.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 3+ years of software engineering experience in production environments.
  • Strong programming skills are required, with a focus on Go, and a solid understanding of concurrency and high volume/traffic workloads.
  • Experience with event-driven architecture and modern API technologies such as gRPC and GraphQL is necessary.
  • A strong commitment to testing and experience with Linux and containers is essential.
  • Nice to have: Experience with deploying in Kubernetes environments, deep knowledge of a major cloud provider (preferably AWS), and experience with production-level databases, especially PostgreSQL and/or TimescaleDB.
  • Experience in building tooling and APIs, as well as familiarity with 3rd party integrations, is a plus.
