Description:

Spexi is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to work on the development of the Spexi Network, a two-sided marketplace for drone pilots and organizations to access high-resolution aerial imagery and data.
The role involves designing and developing a scalable, secure, and innovative geospatial data marketplace platform.
Responsibilities include developing reliable APIs and backend services, collaborating with frontend and data engineers, maintaining high-quality code, and providing technical leadership and mentorship.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent, 6+ years of software engineering experience, proficiency in database systems, TypeScript, Python, REST APIs, cloud-based infrastructure, and geospatial data.
Bonus points for experience with blockchain architectures, 3D mathematics, and contributions to open-source projects.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar field, or equivalent work experience.
6+ years of software engineering experience with a track record of supporting large-scale production systems.
Proficiency in database systems, TypeScript, Python, modern frameworks, REST APIs, and API-driven architectures.
Deep understanding of cloud-based infrastructure environments, performance optimization techniques, and modern build tools.
Experience with geospatial data, mapping, and image analysis.
Strong communication skills, familiarity with professional software development processes, and ability to work effectively in a remote, agile environment.
