Remote Senior Software Engineer - Backend (Contractor)

Description:

• The Senior Software Engineer will support backend development of the digestive platform and various external data integrations.

• The backend services are primarily developed in Go and run in GKE or other GCP serverless frameworks.
• The DevOps environment utilizes GitHub and Terraform, with various test frameworks including Cucumber for BDD.
• This is a 3-month contract position that may be extended.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 4+ years of experience in building and implementing backend systems and supporting SaaS solutions.
• Proficiency in Golang and developing containerized workloads is required.
• Experience in analyzing and optimizing system performance is necessary.
• A passion for automated testing is essential.
• Candidates should possess outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) frameworks is a bonus, including GKE, IAM, Firebase, and others.
• Experience with medical, healthcare, or population health data is preferred, especially familiarity with OHDSI, FHIR, and other healthcare data standards.
• Experience working in a HIPAA regulated environment or similar is a plus.
