Description:

The Senior Software Engineer, Backend (Developer) position is a remote role based in the USA at Coinbase Developer Platform (CDP).
The team is focused on building developer tools to facilitate onchain development, aiming to create a trusted and easy-to-use developer experience.
The role involves leading engineering efforts for an experimental agentic payments protocol to enhance economic value on the internet.
Responsibilities include developing open protocols for internet agentic payments, collaborating with internal teams to integrate with broader CDP offerings, and developing server and client libraries to provide a world-class developer experience.

Requirements:

Candidates must have experience constructing blockchain transactions using frameworks such as Viem, Web3py, allow, go-ethereum, or equivalent.
A strong background in shipping and scaling TypeScript and Go services in production is required.
A minimum of 3 years of industry experience as a software developer is necessary.
Nice to have skills include an understanding of EVM or SVM blockchains, experience building open source libraries, familiarity with AI agents and LLMs, and experience building projects from 0 to 1.

The position offers a target annual salary range of $180,065—$218,900 USD, depending on work location.
