• As a Senior Software Engineer, Backend, you will design and develop the core backend code of a cloud-based web service that connects to IoT/M2M devices globally.
• Your role includes understanding the existing system architecture, improving services, implementing new features, developing APIs, and enhancing backend architecture.
• Responsibilities include facilitating technical decision-making, driving execution and strategy, backend development, system optimization, cross-functional collaboration, code review, and mentorship.

Requirements:

• A BS/MS in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent work experience is required.
• At least 5 years of experience in backend software engineering with Python or equivalent languages on large web projects is necessary.
• Expertise in Django or similar frameworks like Flask, Laravel, or Ruby on Rails is essential.
• Strong experience in database architecture and backend system design is required.
• Proven experience deploying backend features and applications into production, particularly on Linux-based systems, is necessary.
• Experience with AWS and basic data processing and analysis tools is required.
• A strong understanding of system reliability, scalability, and performance optimization is essential.
