As a Senior Software Engineer, Backend, you will design and develop the core backend code of a cloud-based web service that connects to IoT/M2M devices globally.
Your role includes understanding the existing system architecture, improving services, implementing new features, developing APIs, and enhancing backend architecture.
Responsibilities include facilitating technical decision-making, driving execution and strategy, backend development, system optimization, cross-functional collaboration, code review, and mentorship.
Requirements:
A BS/MS in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent work experience is required.
At least 5 years of experience in backend software engineering with Python or equivalent languages on large web projects is necessary.
Expertise in Django or similar frameworks like Flask, Laravel, or Ruby on Rails is essential.
Strong experience in database architecture and backend system design is required.
Proven experience deploying backend features and applications into production, particularly on Linux-based systems, is necessary.
Experience with AWS and basic data processing and analysis tools is required.
A strong understanding of system reliability, scalability, and performance optimization is essential.
