Remote Senior Software Engineer, Backend

• As a Senior Software Engineer, you will join the asset monitoring team to transform product ideas into reality by designing components and services for new feature developments.

• Responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and document scalable solutions, writing secure and maintainable code, building scalable API interfaces, and ensuring system health through monitoring and debugging.
• You will also work on AWS cloud infrastructure and mentor other developers within the engineering organization.

Requirements:

• A B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or a related field is required.
• A minimum of 7 years of software development experience is necessary.
• Candidates should have a strong affinity for creating software that is extensible, performant, and easy to read.
• Experience in building product infrastructure, distributed systems, and data models is essential.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Ruby on Rails, Go Lang, Java, or similar is required.
• Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Redis, and Cassandra, is necessary.
• Experience in building for cloud infrastructure such as AWS, GCP, Azure, or private clouds is required.
