Remote Senior Software Engineer, Backend (Furnishing Platform)

Description:

• The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for building scalable systems and data pipelines for Affirm's consumer credit reporting.
• They will collaborate with Product, Compliance, Servicing, and Credit teams to design robust reporting systems.
• The role involves working on systems crucial for delivering accurate and timely data from Affirm’s financial product portfolio to Consumer Reporting Agencies.
• The engineer will mentor team members, integrate data pipelines, and develop a deep understanding of Affirm's systems and cash flows.
• They will partner with various engineering teams to build financial products and perform financial transactions.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience as a software engineer.
• Strong drive to improve consumer financial services.
• Proficiency in back end development, event processing, and batch processing.
• Prior experience in designing, building, launching, and maintaining consumer scale products.
• Excellent cross-team communication and collaboration skills.
• Knowledge of Python, Spark, Airflow, AWS, and Snowflake is a plus.
• Familiarity with basic accounting principles is a plus.
