Description:

The company is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to help architect robust backend systems for their robotics platform.
Responsibilities include designing and implementing backend architectures for robot control, building test infrastructure, developing hardware integration systems, driving technical decisions, creating reliable APIs, implementing monitoring systems, and mentoring other engineers.
The tech stack includes C++, TypeScript, Python, ROS/ROS2, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD (Github Actions).
The ideal candidate will engage in approximately 15% front-end work and 85% back-end work, focusing on real-time robotics control and high-performance data streams.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5-10 years of experience working in complex environments.
A strong technical background is required, particularly in C++ for performance-critical components.
Candidates should be self-driven, optimistic, creative, and resourceful, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new domains.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for supporting peers.
A focus on user impact and value execution over technical idealism is necessary.
Candidates should prioritize simplicity, reliability, and velocity, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement.

Benefits:
The salary range for this position is $190,000 to $220,000, based on experience.
