The company is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to help architect robust backend systems for their robotics platform.
The role involves working on critical infrastructure that supports safe and reliable robot operations, including hardware integrations and control systems.
Responsibilities include designing and implementing backend architectures, maintaining test infrastructure, developing hardware integration systems, driving technical decisions, creating reliable APIs, implementing monitoring systems, and mentoring other engineers.

Requirements:

Candidates must have a strong technical background with 5-10 years of experience in complex environments.
C++ experience is required for performance-critical components.
Engineers should be self-driven, optimistic, creative, and resourceful, with no specific background in robotics required.
The ideal candidate should be open to approximately 15% front-end work and 85% back-end work, with flexibility based on project needs.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for supporting peers.
Candidates should be impact-driven, prioritizing user impact and value execution over technical idealism.
A proactive approach to simplicity, reliability, and velocity is necessary, along with the ability to excel in dynamic and ambitious environments.

The salary range for this position is $190,000 to $220,000, depending on experience.
