Remote Senior Software Engineer, Backend - HTS Fintech Ancillaries

Description:

• The Senior Backend Developer will be part of the Hopper Fintech Ancillaries team responsible for integrating proprietary fintech offerings with major travel companies globally.
• Responsibilities include designing, implementing, deploying, and operating complex backend systems using technologies like Scala, GCP, OpenAPI, BigQuery, and Pub/Sub.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to innovate and deliver features in an agile manner within a microservices architecture.
• The ideal candidate should excel in distributed systems, work with minimal guidance, prioritize quality, and have prior cloud experience.
• Prior experience with Scala and travel or eCommerce is a plus.

• Experience working in cross-functional teams with Product Managers, Data Scientists, Frontend Engineers, and other specialists.

• Prior cloud experience.
• Familiarity with Scala and its libraries (preferred but not required).
• Previous experience in travel or eCommerce.
