Description:

The Senior Software Engineer, Backend will be part of the Hopper Fintech Ancillaries team responsible for integrating proprietary fintech offerings with major travel companies globally.
Responsibilities include designing, implementing, deploying, and operating complex backend systems using technologies like Scala, GCP, OpenAPI, BigQuery, and Pub/Sub.
The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, iterating on features in an agile manner, and contributing to the company's critical roadmaps.
Ideal candidates should have expertise in distributed systems, working with microservices architecture, and delivering high-quality, scalable code.
Prior experience with cloud technologies, Scala, and travel or eCommerce is preferred.
