• Plentific is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Backend (Python) to join their team remotely in Poland.

• The role involves working with a highly technical team to solve challenges and deliver value to users, not just writing code.
• Responsibilities include collaborating with product managers and designers to identify software project requirements, designing and maintaining APIs and microservices, writing testable and readable code, optimizing APIs and database queries, participating in code reviews, debugging applications, and maintaining existing code.
• The engineering team tackles complex problems related to online payments, invoicing, data pipelines, and more, primarily using Python and Django within a service-oriented architecture.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have strong computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns.
• A passion for writing clean, modular, and reusable code is essential.
• Excellent communication skills are required to articulate technical concepts clearly.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience with Python and any web framework, with Django being a plus, is necessary.
• Experience in managing junior team members and previous work in relational database management and SQL query optimization is also required.
