Description:

Close is seeking US-based Senior Software Engineers specializing in Backend/Python for a fully remote position.
The base salary range for Senior I & II positions is between $140,000 and $210,000.
The company is a profitable, bootstrapped team of around 100 individuals focused on building a user-friendly CRM for small scaling businesses.
The backend tech stack includes Python Flask web apps, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Redis, and AWS infrastructure.
The role involves joining one of six cross-functional teams and collaborating with backend and frontend engineers, product managers, and designers.
Responsibilities include designing and launching new user-facing features, implementing AI features, improving API performance, and enhancing integrations with other SaaS platforms.
The position requires managing large data processing needs, including billions of Mongo documents and millions of PostgreSQL rows.

Requirements:

Candidates should have 5+ years of experience for Senior I & II levels, 8+ years for Staff level, and around 3 years for Mid-level candidates.
Professional experience in Python is preferred, but a working knowledge of Python with experience in other languages is acceptable.
Experience in building web APIs that handle high volume loads is required.
Hands-on production experience with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, or similar data stores is necessary.
Candidates must have experience in designing, scaling, debugging, and optimizing systems for performance and reliability.
Participation in code reviews and maintaining code quality is expected.
Candidates must be located in the USA (lower 48 timezones).
