Description:

  • The Senior Software Engineer will be part of Cash App's Financial Platform team, responsible for building systems that power products within Cash App.
  • The role involves working on the Bank Rails team, which focuses on developing and supporting platform capabilities for banking features like issuing DDA accounts, processing ACH transfers, check deposits, and wires for millions of customers.
  • Responsibilities include designing, building, and supporting core systems for banking features, refactoring existing systems, creatively solving technical problems at scale, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to the growth of development capabilities.
  • The position offers autonomy to research and achieve outcomes with support when needed, as well as opportunities to lead, mentor, and support fellow engineers.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience delivering quality software.
  • Natural curiosity to learn new technologies, solve complex problems, and build high-quality software.
  • Ability to identify flaws in systems with multiple components and take necessary steps to address them.
  • Desire to grow as an engineer and demonstrate technical initiative and leadership on previous projects.
