Description:
StackAdapt is a self-serve advertising platform specializing in multi-channel solutions including native, display, video, connected TV, audio, in-game, and digital out-of-home ads.
The Senior Software Engineer will be involved in the development of the advertising platform, producing production-level code that impacts product success.
The role involves working with large data sets and exposure to modern tech stacks such as GoLang, Ruby on Rails, React, and GraphQL.
The engineer will design, improve, and debug complex, scalable systems, and find solutions to optimize bottlenecks and overall system performance.
Responsibilities include writing extensible, scalable, and test-driven code, participating in technical planning, and making architectural decisions.
The engineer will collaborate with team members to design scalable web architecture, including APIs and backend systems.
The position requires taking ownership of projects from start to finish, contributing to code and technical spec reviews, and providing mentorship to interns and junior engineers.
The engineer will advise teams on technical debt consolidation and lead by example to uphold software development best practices.
The role includes identifying performance issues and offering actionable solutions, being a significant contributor to critical projects, and conducting technical interviews to attract high-performing candidates.
Requirements:
Candidates must have at least 5+ years of full-time work experience building highly performant web applications with outstanding user experience.
Recent work experience with Ruby on Rails is required.
Knowledge of full-stack technologies such as React, Typescript, GraphQL, and Go is preferred.
Experience collaborating closely with Product and Design teams to implement high-impact product experiences is necessary.
Candidates should have experience working with relational databases and key-value stores.
Experience in analyzing, benchmarking, and optimizing web application page load performance across the entire stack is required.
