Remote Senior Software Engineer, Billing

Description:

• The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for designing, building, and scaling a billing platform using Stripe Connect.
• They will work on complex payment flows for a multi-sided marketplace and create seamless onboarding experiences for gym owners and members.
• Implementing financial reporting and reconciliation systems for accurate revenue tracking will be a key part of the role.
• Ensuring compliance with tax, KYC/AML, and other regulatory requirements is essential.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to explore and implement new monetization opportunities.
• Mentoring other engineers and promoting engineering best practices.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2 years working extensively with Stripe Connect.
• Expert-level knowledge of Stripe Connect's APIs, SDKs, and platform architecture.
• Experience in building complex billing systems for multi-sided marketplaces.
• Deep understanding of payment routing, cross-border payouts, and identity verification flows.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to KYC/AML and tax reporting (1099-K).
• Proficiency in Node.js, React, TypeScript, and REST API design.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to design robust, scalable architectures.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
