Description:
Wellhub (formerly Gympass) is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Billing team in Portugal.
The team manages the platform handling transactions for Wellhub globally, collaborating with cross-functional teams and payment service providers.
The role involves creating a new architecture and systems to ensure consistency across various services.
The Senior Software Engineer will work with a team of approximately 6 mid-level and senior engineers from Brazil and Portugal.
Responsibilities include participating in critical service development, designing, testing, deploying, and maintaining services for performance, scalability, and resilience.
Integration with 3rd party APIs, working with cutting-edge technologies on a global scale, and promoting wellbeing in the workplace are key aspects of the role.
Requirements:
Strong focus on continuous improvement and quality.
Proficiency in RESTful APIs using Java/Kotlin + Spring (main stack), asynchronous processing, and data pipelines.
Knowledge of software architecture including event-driven architectures and serverless.
Experience in software quality, test automation, cloud computing (AWS), and Cloud Native (K8s).
Familiarity with SQL technologies like PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server, or other relational databases.
Background in microservices and high-volume distributed systems.
