The Senior Software Engineer will join the Billing, Auth & Fraud Prevention team to develop a billing and payment processing system and fraud detection systems.
Responsibilities include contributing to high throughput postage and SaaS billing systems, fraud prevention systems, and authentication and security systems.
The engineer will build tools to improve internal processes, participate in on-call support rotation, and work with the product team to refine new products.
The role involves leading large projects, mentoring fellow engineers, and setting high standards for engineering practices and processes.
The engineer will also set and monitor KPIs for systems performance and quality.

Requirements:

A minimum of 7+ years of experience in software development is required.
Candidates must have experience building and maintaining highly available, distributed, and scalable systems.
Proficiency in server-side programming languages such as Go, Python, Java, or Ruby, as well as SQL databases, is necessary.
A strong understanding of software architecture, object-oriented programming, and design patterns is essential.
Experience with data analysis and reporting is required.
Candidates must be able to effectively communicate with stakeholders across different organizations within the company.
Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills are necessary for effective teamwork.
A BSc in a STEM field, preferably in computer science or software engineering, is required.
Bonus qualifications include experience with billing and invoicing systems, fraud detection and prevention, authentication and security practices, and full-stack experience with React and Typescript.

The position offers a competitive salary range of $156,000 to $212,000 annually, with an average anchor point of $184,000.
