Remote Senior Software Engineer

Description:

• FOSSA is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to work on their software supply chain management platform that focuses on open source software.
• The role involves collaborating with the entire company to plan, design, and implement core product features.
• Responsibilities include owning user-impacting features from start to finish, scaling technical infrastructure, and contributing to the technical architecture and product roadmap.
• The position primarily involves NodeJS web application development in Typescript, with exposure to other languages like Haskell, Rust, and Golang.

Requirements:

• Must have experience in building and supporting scalable SaaS products and features.
• Should be a full-stack software engineer with a track record of owning and developing features end-to-end.
• Proficiency in relational databases, writing performant SQL queries, and problem-solving skills to communicate solutions effectively.
• Ability to navigate complex domains, build intuitive software, and prefer prototypes over proposals.
• Strong attention to detail, quality, and the ability to anticipate edge cases.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a backend engineer, willingness to participate in an on-call rotation, and mentorship capabilities.
• Experience with observability tooling is required.
