Description:
Jobgether is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Caramel project, located in Nevada, with a remote-first work model.
This full-stack engineering role focuses on scaling and securing a high-impact automotive transaction platform.
The engineer will be responsible for advancing the platform’s capabilities, ensuring operational excellence, and owning the full development lifecycle from ideation through deployment.
The role requires taking initiative on DevOps practices, system performance, and infrastructure optimization while contributing to both backend and frontend product development.
Key accountabilities include developing and maintaining robust applications using TypeScript, Express, Nuxt, AWS Lambda, and RDS.
The engineer will lead DevOps and infrastructure improvements using Terraform and AWS, ensuring stability and scalability.
Proactive identification and remediation of security issues in partnership with internal security teams is essential.
Collaboration across functions to establish technical standards, drive architectural planning, and deliver high-quality product features is expected.
The engineer will own the end-to-end software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
Technical leadership on initiatives related to identity verification, payment processing, and logistics integration is also required.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience is required.
A minimum of 6 years in software engineering with experience in building large-scale distributed systems is necessary.
Strong hands-on experience in JavaScript/TypeScript, RESTful API design, and modern web development frameworks is essential.
Familiarity with AWS services, Terraform for infrastructure as code, and security best practices is required.
A proven track record of leading development projects and collaborating across engineering, product, and security teams is necessary.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a balance of technical vision and execution are required.
