Description:

  • Braze is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Channels team responsible for building and scaling core messaging channels like Push, Content Cards, and Webhooks.
  • The role involves working on message definition, composition, journey-building, and analytics parts of Braze's product, including a feature-rich dashboard for message composition and a highly parallelized platform for sending and processing messaging-related events at scale.
  • As a senior engineer, you will contribute to building new features, enhancing performance, and providing guidance on key architectural decisions.
  • Opportunities include tackling significant engineering challenges, architecting critical components, and optimizing systems for scalability.
  • The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of full-stack development experience, be an experienced technical leader, possess a strong understanding of design, data structures, and algorithms, and excel in communication and organizational skills within a team environment.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of full-stack development experience
  • Experienced technical leader
  • Strong understanding of design, data structures, and algorithms
  • Self-starter with excellent communication and organizational skills, with prior experience in a team environment
  • Bonus: Professional experience building software at scale, proficiency in Ruby, Go, TypeScript, or JavaScript; MongoDB or Postgres; Ruby on Rails or React, and familiarity with agile processes
