The evertz.io Engineering Team is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for Cloud Backend to build next-generation systems for content management and distribution in the Media and Entertainment industry.
The role involves working with high-quality video in real-time and non-real-time scenarios across a wide range of cutting-edge technology.
Responsibilities include participating in design discussions, taking features from scoping to launch, designing and documenting requirements, collaborating with UI and QA teams, and improving system observability with the SRE team.
The technology stack includes a serverless microservice architecture utilizing AWS services, with code written in Python, Rust, and Java.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 6+ years of professional experience with Python and experience in designing, planning, and implementing APIs (REST, protobuf).
A minimum of 4 years of exposure to AWS Cloud computing is required.
Applicants should have a good eye for well-structured, modular, and maintainable code, and a passion for writing unit tests.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly are essential.
Experience with microservices architectures, serverless applications, observability frameworks, NoSQL databases, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code in the cloud is preferred.
Knowledge of major architecture styles, experience building SaaS products, and an interest in machine learning are also beneficial.
