Description:
- The evertz.io Engineering Team is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for Cloud Backend to build next-generation systems for content management and distribution in the Media and Entertainment industry.
- The role involves working with high-quality video in real-time and non-real-time scenarios across a wide range of cutting-edge technology.
- Responsibilities include participating in design discussions, taking features from scoping to launch, designing and documenting requirements, collaborating with UI and QA teams, and improving system observability with the SRE team.
- The technology stack includes a serverless microservice architecture utilizing AWS services, with code written in Python, Rust, and Java.
- The team operates in an agile, low-bureaucracy environment that fosters creativity and supports career progression and mentoring.
- The work culture is relaxed and open, with regular social events and sports teams.
Requirements:
- Candidates must have 6+ years of professional experience with Python and experience in designing, planning, and implementing APIs (REST, protobuf).
- A minimum of 4 years of exposure to AWS Cloud computing is required.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly are essential.
- A passion for writing unit tests and participating in peer code reviews for technical accuracy is expected.
- Additional useful skills include familiarity with microservices architectures, experience with serverless applications, observability frameworks, NoSQL databases, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code in the cloud.
- Interest in working with machine learning to create smart solutions for the broadcast industry is a plus.
