Remote Senior Software Engineer - Cloud Insights (Remote, US/Canada)

Description:

• Grafana Cloud is an observability platform integrating metrics, logs, and traces with Grafana, allowing customers to utilize open-source observability software without the burden of managing their own stack.
• The Observability department focuses on enabling developers to monitor their applications' health and performance in any environment by providing tools for code instrumentation, data ingestion, and visualization.
• The Cloud Insights team collaborates with backend database teams, builds and maintains distributed microservices, and enhances data pipelines and visualizations for various products.
• Responsibilities include reducing time to value for customers, developing efficient algorithms, improving customer experience, and writing integration and unit tests.
• The ideal candidate will have experience in building SaaS applications at scale, working remotely across multiple time zones, and leading projects within a small, independent team.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of remote work experience.
• Experience with big SaaS platforms and common distributed systems challenges.
• Strong focus on developer and user experience, product quality, and project delivery.
• Ability to write clean, robust, and performant software, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate in an asynchronous environment.
• Proficiency in analyzing, designing, and building modular solutions, gathering feedback iteratively, and working across teams.
