Remote Senior Software Engineer - Cloud Platform Team

Description:

• The Senior Software Engineer position is within the Cloud Platform team at Octopus Deploy, a company specializing in Continuous Delivery solutions.
• The role involves managing and optimizing various Azure resources, ensuring efficient scaling and reliability of cloud-based infrastructure.
• Responsibilities include monitoring infrastructure health, resolving operational issues, and minimizing downtime.
• The position also entails contributing to infrastructure improvement initiatives, enhancing internal portal and custom modules in C#, and ensuring smooth deployment and integration of features.
• Key technologies involved are Azure (AKS, SQL, Storage Accounts, Azure Functions, and other cloud services), Kubernetes.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in software engineering using any language or toolset, preferably C# and TypeScript.
• Ability to make informed decisions on general concepts like dependency, extensibility, and compatibility.
• Experience in automating builds, tests, deployments, infrastructure, and operational tasks.
• Comfort working in a "you built it, you run it" culture, taking pride in work quality and system availability.
• Capability to work independently, deliver high-quality work on time, and communicate effectively with teammates.

Benefits:

• Compensation for the Senior Software Engineer role ranges from $145k AUD / $155k NZD to $165k AUD / $175k NZD.
